The Glory Of Ancient Egypt
An African country at the heart of the Nile River, Egypt was
instrumental in bringing human civilization into a new era. The
Pharaos, who were looked upon as gods on Earth, drove the slaves
to build some of the most amazing structures ever seen, and some of
them still exist today. While paying homage to multiple gods of their
mythology, the Egyptians brought art, architecture and dynastic
dominance onto a new age that would become a part of recorded
history. Not to mention pyramids, Cleopatra and a certain Sphinx!

Ancient World that still exists.
The Sphinx - legend has it that the Sphinx has a riddle,
and if you can answer it, your dreams will come true.
Riddle and answer listed under Spinx pic at bottom of

The Pharoah Ramses had many
statues carved to glorify his greatness.
There were many busts carved of
Cleopatra, supposedly the most
beautiful woman in Egypt. She was
reputed to have been a lover of
Caesar, but killed herself with a
poisonous snake when the Roman
Emperor found out she had taken
Marc Antony as a lover.

The Sphinx guards many secrets, and has done so
for millenia. Wanna get to the pyramids? Get past this
guy first. The riddle is: What walks on all fours in the
morning, 2 legs in the afternoon, and 3 legs at night?
Give up? The answer is: Man. (Four legs in the
morning=crawling in infancy, 2 legs in the
afternoon=walking upright in middle life, and 3 legs at
night=walking with a cane in elderly twilight years.)
Mythology and the afterlife were very prominent parts of
Egyptian political and religious life. They firmly believed that
what they did in the living world would mandate what happened
in the world of the dead.
