Led Zeppelin created some of the most sweeping, polished rock ever heard, and the fans responded. Robert Plant's voice, called the band's fourth instrument, set the tone for what would be a legendary, albeit short-lived, rock and roll band. Jimmy Page's magnificent guitar prowess and interest in the occult set the stage for some of the most epic, hard rocking tunes heard to date. John Bonham's pounding drums, and John Paul Jones's steady bass rounded out a seminal band. Only Bonham's untimely death seemed to stop a group that took the world by storm, and ruled the radio stations and arenas throughout the 70's.
