Organized Crime
For a long time, no one would admit it, but we all know there was an
organized group that controlled finance, economics and politics
through intimidation and violence. Whether called 'Organized
Crime', 'La Cosa Nostra', 'The Mob', or 'The Mafia', a group of
determined individuals changed the face of America as well as the
structure of American law enforcement.

History
The Five Families
Benjamin "Bugsy Siegel" -
Essentially, the founder of Las
Vegas. He was the first one to
build a casino way-station for
GI's travelling from Californina
- the Flamingo. His lack of
money skills led to a bullet in
his eye.
Albert Anastasia - "The
Mad Hatter"/"Lord High
Executioner" - legend
has it this leader of
'Murder, Inc.' killed
many men - some with
his bare hands. He
was shot to death in a
barber chair, waiting
for a shave.
"Lucky" Luciano - He was
the first one to unite the
Mafia families, and create a
Comission to run the
day-to-day workings of the
Mob. He was deported to
Italy and died of a heart
attack.
Joh Gotti - "The Dapper
Don" - He assassinated his
Boss to take over, but the
FBI caught him talking too
much, and the man who beat
every rap wound up dying in
prison.
Albert Anastasia was very dead after his
assasination by two gunmen in the Sheraton
Park Hotel, Manhattan.
Vito Genovese is reputed to be the Boss
who had Albert Anastasia killed, as well as
having Lucky Luciano deported so he
could consolidate his power and become
Boss Of All Bosses. It has been postulated
that Don Vito Genovese was the model for
Don Vito Corleone in 'The Godfather'.
Paul "Big Paul" Castellano - named Boss by Carlo Gambino
over John Gotti. Gotti took offense, and after Paul's Todt Hill
house was bugged by the FBI and he screwed most of his crew,
Gotti set up Big Paul's assassination at Sparks Steaks House in
Manhattan.
Big Paul met his end in front of Sparks Steak House to
set up Gotti as the new Boss of All Bosses. Gotti had
gunmen dressed in Russian hats assassinate Paul and
his driver, Tommy Bilotti, who took 6 in the head, while
he and Sammy The Bull looked on from nearby.
Benjamin 'Bugsy' Siegel didn't look like he felt so
good after screwing his mob counterparts out of
a couple million in cost overruns from building
the Flamingo. A bullet through the eye settled
that particular debt...
