Mythology
Over the course of human history, Man has looked for explanations for certain events
and occurrences, such as weather, the Heavens, good and bad luck, and favorable
battle conditions. To achieve this, he created Gods and Goddesses to which he prayed
and offerred sacrifices, built temples and statues, and created legends, or myths. Here
are some of my favorites, organized by the cultures that spawned them. These myths
formed a large part of ancient cultures, and some even endure to the present day.
Zeus - King of the
Greek Gods
Shiva, or Siva - The
Destroyer in Hindu
mythology, dances on
the corpse of a fallen
demon
Odin, All-Father of the
Norse Viking Gods, in his
wanderer disguise. Looks
a bit like Gandalf, no?
Osiris - Egyptian God of
the Underworld
Thor - Norse God of Thunder,
battling the Storm Giants
Statue of Poseidon, Greek God of
the Sea, and Lord of Horses
Under construction -
please bear with me -
this is gonna be a
big project!
