| The Sixties - a time when drugs and music set the stage for a pop revolution. When poet, singer, and songwriter Jim Morrison meets up with keyboardist Ray Manzarek, they had no idea they would form one of the most enduring, legendary bands in American history. Add guitarist Robbie Krieger, drummer John Densemore, a little bit of acid, and a whole lot of booze, The Doors were poised to take the L.A. music scene, and all of America by storm! The turbulent Sixties were matched by the Doors' extended rock anthems, as well as Morrison's legendary substance abuse, including an arrest in Hartford for Indecent Exposure. Unfortunately, Jim's untimely death in 1971 at the too-young age of 27 put an end to what was one of the most influential band careers to ever hit the American rock culture. |
