Prime Minister of
England, 1941 - 1945,
and again from 1951 -
1955.
Adolph Hitler, Chancellor of
Germany, 1938 - 1944.
Brought the entire world
into conflict. Ended his own
life with a bullet.
Josef Vissarionovich
Dzhugashvili changed his
name to Josef Stalin,
('Stalin' is Russian for
'Steel') and led the Soviet
Union through the Second
World War. His ensuing
reign of terror accelerated
the spread of Communism
across Europe and East
Asia.
Japanese Emperor Hirohito -
he signed the surrender
agreement onboard an
American battleship after the
A-bombs were dropped on
Hiroshima and Nagasaki
Italian Fascist ruler Benito
Mussolini. 'Il Duce' (The
Duke') was caught and
executed by Italians. His
body was hung
upside-down in an Italian
square for citizens to spit
upon.
The first atomic bomb used during warfare - code named
'Little Boy' - dropped on Hiroshima, Japan on August 6th,
1945. 80,000+ people die in less than 5 seconds.
The second atomic bomb, code named 'Fat Man, is
dropped on Nagasaki, Japan on August 9th, 1945.
Over 40,000 people are killed. The Empire of Japan
surrendered unconditionally on August 14, 1945.
